Front flexible brake hoses
Hi good BX people, I have been sharing my story about getting my great BX16V back on the road - done a couple of thousand miles now and enjoying every minute. My mechanic (all I can do is drive - I can't fix...) tells me that my front flexi brake hoses urgently need to be replaced - but he says that...

Re: Who's on the road (or could be), who is Not?
Hi Guys, I have enjoyed owning and driving my white 1990 16v G441AKX ever since I bought it in August 1995 for £ 3250. It was the family car for many happy years and shared the garage with my 65 Lotus Cortina. I bought a new VX220 in 2003 and sadly could not afford to keep the 16v on the road due to...

Air inlet pipe
Big thanks to you all for your thoughts on my problem, it has led to me getting a solid pipe from Jez which should last a bit better than the flexible type which I have been using - and which seem to disintegrate after a few years.
Cheers, Pete

Hi Vanny, thanks for your advice, I did have some air intake trunking from other cars laying around, but the end that fits over the radiator bracket was quite a complex shape and hard to fit in the space available - hence asking what other people thought about it. I will try my local Citroen dealer ...

Air intake pipe from back of radiator to air filter
Hi everyone, just washing and checking over my daily driven 16valver when I realised that my air intake pipe behind the radiator has disintegrated. Anybody got a new one for sale or know where I can get one ? Cheers - Pete

 Hi Tobbe, I wasn't sure about posting a reply on U Tube as you asked but I really enjoyed the clip. Don't our cars make a great noise ! maybe a bit less music and a bit more engine would have been good for me. I have had my 16v since 1995 and used to see 7200 in 5th now and then, but with ...

Exhaust for 1990 16v
I am interested in replacing the exhaust on my 1990 car which is still in daily use. It has been "noisy" for a couple of years now and keeps amazing me by passing it's MOT without comment. As this is our sensible family car I would be interested in buying any new or good quality second han...

 Hello again guys, thanks to you all for your thoughts which was what I was after - to be a bit more specific I have o/e mounting brackets which are held by 2 screws into the metal of the car. These brackets then had very small odd size speakers riveted to the bracket. I unriveted the speaker ...

quality speakers to go in rear c pillar
I am looking for some reasonable quality speakers to fit in the rear c pillar mounts without any alteration. I have an Alpine head unit but my original speakers have given up the struggle and shredded - I think Alpine used to offer "custom fit" speakers many years ago that replaced odd siz...

LHM distribution block (under gearbox)
In order to pass my MOT I have been told I need another LHM distribution block as mine is blocked and leaking. I live in the Preston area and would be happy to pay a good price if I could get one of these quickly - anybody got a good one sat clean and ready to be collected/posted. Of course I have c...

Hi Mechuccio, sounds like a good plan - you are always very welcome to call in if you are passing. I run a pubmeet for petrolheads on the last Wednesday night of every month so that would be a good time to be here. I run a Lotus Cortina and a VX220 (and my wife a Smart) as well as the Citroen - we h...
