I have bits of a rear strip. You may be able to use it as the front takes less than the rear... if you get me...

Hey guys not been here for a while. Surely you need that vane in the pipe???

I welded the last one up a bit wonkey and it doesn't work very well. I thought it would be easier to just get a Citroen one but it sounds like it mightn't be!

Would be interested if anyone found one though.

I've just done this after 7 years! The car was fine to start with and even passed its MOT first time. However things keep breaking every day. You know I dont expect anyone to agree with me and I dont suppose its good advice but I didn't change the cambelt and, as an engineer, see no reason why you s...

My old box used to jump out of fifth gear. I replaced the synchro with one from another box and it works fine now. You wouldn't even need to remove the engine for that job although it has a strange size nut (and socket).

Well there is an easy way. Without the cable connected it runs OK. Its sluggish when you start it but then, after a few seconds, its OK. Sod the ICV! I had them (the idle valves) both on a variable voltage power supply and watched the valve open and shut. One of them was a bit jerky but the other se...

The temp sensor seems ok. As you say it wouldn't make it do that anyway even if it thought the engine was freezing! I swapped the idle valve and, unless I have two identially broken ones, its not that either. Its definately the engine management deciding to rev it that high as you can tell by drivin...

High Idle Speed

Sometime, pretty much always when cold and occasionally when hot, my stupid 16v idless at about 2500rpm. Its quite random and very annoying. Its not the throttle cable or switch. I was thinking it could be a faulty idle valve but I'm not convinced of that either. Did I once read that the engine mana...

Silver rear bumper

Hi all. Does anybody have a silver rear bumper they would like to part with. I have three but they are either the wrong colour or have no fittings on them.

What's it worth?

Hi all. I have a 16V BX that has been garaged for about 7 years. It had an engine rebuild just before I stopped using it but as it was barely run-in it hasn't really proved itself. I'm unsure whether I want to use it. I'm hoping for an MOT tomorrow and if it passes I'll tax it and use it for a bit. ...
