(CE) XEFS 31 (TZD Type) -- 88-83. 84 -79 Believe there is an alternative type below for the TZD Would have thought the higher temp range to extreme where you are. Alternat...

Well done. I know they can certainly rack your brains. b*****d cars. Still enjoy them. It’s not as if the Motronic system is rocket science. When compared to any modern EFI, there’re quite basic. I think many a problem lies with the 20 year old wiring and connectors. Where’re inclined to think the E...

.Keep at it. Been there. I think the pump has a stall out pressure of about 90psi. Also had a full facial from a split supply hose.. It will most probably end up being something quite simple. Process of elimination time. Check the resistance across ECU pins 35 to 33. 6-8Ω.?? Let us know. Injector ci...

Might be a question of just removing the fuel rail supply hose first, to confirm fuel is reaching this point. Reconnect, and then remove the return hose to ensure the rail regulator is working. Would recommend with any fuel flow or pressure checks it’s a two man job, just encase. The pump generates ...

Also…. Sorry Matt ………. Any joy with yours? …Let us know Kitch Could be ???? the fuel pump is locked/jammed, especially if its been standing for some time. Or, the pump has failed. A slight whack on the pump rubber housing with the ignition on may help. With the ignition On… There should be 12V + …on...

Kitch If you’ve got a spark and fuel.. could…….???? be an electrical problem with the injector circuit. Couple of points you may like to try. Remove the air filter top cover and spray easy start into the inlet tract while cranking. .This should confirm the ignition/spark side………… Watch out for any ...

Depending on how the original alarm was wired. Normally the ignition switch on circuit, return white wire is cut, then diverted through a relay on the alarm system.. You might find the cut/diverted wire close to the ignition switch. Check you’ve a supply to the ignition key switch, red wires at the ...

Kitch The main relay and fuel pump relays are slightly different. Main relay has an inbuilt diode on the coil supply side to avoid a return signal when using the diagnostic socket and a negative return to fuel pump relay main positive supply. Regards. P Matt . To possibly expand on the CAS workings...

Couple of other possible suggestions. One would be to install a total independent hydraulic braking system. A push rod type master cylinder mounted adjacent to the existing hand brake, with a rally type vertical operating lever, obtains a far higher degree of brake modulation. A conversion I’ve used...

If the high idle speed remains with the new unit fitted? Try removing the CTS plug and bridge a 4k resistor across the pins, then try 2k, to see if there is any alteration with idle rpm. Check the resistance on the new unit, should be approx 8Ω at approx 20°C also the resistance on each injector mat...

If you can find any old car/light van front hydraulic flexible hoses, the small internal bore makes these ideal for BX pipe connections. Most automotive engine section hoses are nitrile oil resistant construction and should be fine with LHM as Vanny mentioned. As a guide. Neoprene material – water/s...

When you remove your old unit there should be 10 wires, but a great deal depends on if the OE (French, sorry, Yugoslavian!!!) wiring has been altered over the years, and, make/type and connections, on the new unit. ………………………….. Red or white wire, possibly with a trace colour – permanent live feed. Y...

Front Bumper Lower Recesses.
Always been puzzled by the two squarish type recess on the front bumper - to the left and right of the spot lights.
They appear to look prime for disc brake cooling ducts, air intakes.??
Or, are they just cosmetic.
Can any forum member enlighten me?
Many Thanks
Pete

Recover tank and distribution line vapours, filtered through charcoal beds to then return recovered liquid fuel back into the storage sys...
