eeee thanks fellas. I hope it does sell and not to some monkey wanting to use the bits for a project 205 or something like that.
Someone with a 205 once offered me money for it for that reason.

yeah, I noticed it was old after I'd posted those two. My van was bought for £1800 in about 2004 with 164k miles, it's got 223k on it now. it's needed a fuel pump (which was £800) and some consumables. Oh, it's broken rear leaf springs twice too but it does get fully loaded at times. I've had that o...

when I say take the van off.. of course I mean fan :)

I only just read that you can get away without using the special tool (posted above). Also I used a strap wrench ont he fan pulley to stop it turning while I undid the bolts.

I recently changed my water pump on my transit. I reckon it's a 2 hour job. Or it would have been if I'd have known I needed the viscous fan tool (from halfords, cheap too). take the front of the van off which is about 4 bolts, rad out, belts off and it's there. Not a difficult job at all. You could...

4x4

Hi guys, I know it's not a 16v, but anyone know where I can get 4x4 rear subframe mounts? I thnk I can get some made if not but it'd be nice to just buy some. Citroen don't make them anymore and I have no idea where to start looking.

Cheers.

Well the VF was borrowed off my Dad and while it's still around and still fires up first time, there's a clattery sound from the rear bank and a flickering oil light. I'm not sure if it finally met the usual VF fate. Got a spare engine for it though so all could be well yet. I had thought about just...

I never did it in the end. The car is sat there with rusted through rear subframe mounts and the new clutch sat in the boot. It looks like it needs me to free up some cash to do it. I bought a sportsbike and use that every day now. I've got a few ideas for the 4x4.. and only one of them is to leave ...

Yeah I've been thinking about that actually myself. There's no rush really, the car is stored out of the rain and it's not insured anyway now. My money gets spent on my sportsbike.. I didn't realise that although they're cheap on fuel and insurance.. tyres etc go through in a matter of months and co...

If I get chance I'll have a look at them and see what I see. It's just a bit awkward getting under it. I don't have ramps and it's not insured anymore so I can't take it anywhere.

I can't get under my car again except for raising it up and I don't have a lot of mounts to get dimensions from. There's more rust than anything else to be honest.

It would appear so. Mine was up on ramps getting the rears spheres changed and all off a sudden.. the subframe dropped out, or at least the rear end of it. It took the exhaust down with it. At the moment it's lashed up with steel wire and I drove the car home. The guy at the citroen specialist looke...

Don't worry Vanny, the attack wasn't aimed at you. Just other people I've spoken to. It'll take me some time to build this car, there's the fact that my wage is almost at capacity :) and I have nowhere to do it unless I can borrow a mates garage. I'm quite excited about it though. I want it to be a ...
