Stop torturing me I WANT one  , some more ace pics , they really must be a very rare sight in Oz . Mark Glad you like it. Yeah I've never seen a 16 valve on the road here in Australia, only a couple at a car show. BXs in general are rare here. There very under rated and people have a fear of H...

My BX back on the road

Its taken the better part of 2 years but its finally registered and back on the road. I can now understand why these cars have such a loyal following. It may be noisy with dodgy plastic creaky trim, there maybe cars that are safer and newer but few can match the fun and grin factor. Its just so busy...

Clutch kit installed

Ive finally after 2 months of doing bits and pieces put a new clutch kit in. My biggest fear was reconnection of the hydraulics. In hindsight I should have removed the radiator as suggested by Kitch. I removed it for the hydraulics and gearbox reinstall and it certainly made the job easier. A big th...

Hi all,

Im just about ready to drop the gearbox to facilitate the clutch replacement.

Now how do I disconnect the 2 selector rods. I cant see a locking clip. Doe the ball socket just pull off from the ball?

Any advice appreciatted as the Haynes manual is not very helpfull..

Thanks for all the good advice guys. Got the lower control arm off by hitting it from the front end instead of the back.

Its all slow progress as I fit in an hour or so when I can.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys. Unfortunately the BX 16V is an underappreciatted beast in Australia as some of you may already know. Most people Ive met dont even have the faintest idea what it is. Was going to get the gearbox out this weekend but its postponed :( . Wife and I have been t...

Yeah the BX is not beautiful in the way that a DS or even a CX is. The looks do grow on you. The body kit, rear wheel arch covers, intergrated spoiler and sloping rear roof do grow on you.

Im glad I have now have a BX16V. I wanted one as a teenager and now I finally have one.
