Re: New member with racecar!
Almost got Whitey looking the way I want - just need some nice white wheels... http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/ae349/Humungous/Mobile%20Uploads/2014-12/CE586CEE-01F4-4738-A2B3-FBE15F8A0E95_zpsadr0p0uh.jpg http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/ae349/Humungous/Mobile%20Uploads/2014-12/BA9BEE0A-7877-4B...

Full exhaust system needed
Does anyone have a line on getting a full replacement system these days? Or is it custom only?

Re: New member with racecar!
Last weekend saw another round of my series, only this time it was more than a little bit damp. Pissing down would be another way to describe it. This seemed to suit Whitey, however, as I managed to qualify about 18th of of 90 cars! My in-car camera app decided not to record either qualifying or rac...

Yep - there's a lot of companies doing wrapping out there. Not sure I am 100% happy with the choice of fonts though, as I think the "O" in "TOTAL" is wrong!frog wrote:Did you have it put on professionally? That piece along the bottom of the front wing looks quite tricky to apply.

Re: New member with racecar!
Those brake pads were Bendix! I'd run them in gently too. And used new discs. I've got some Ferodo DS3000s to try next time out - here's hoping they last a bit longer! I have actually got a larger 288mm set of Xantia discs and calipers that should pretty much bolt up, but I wouldn't be allowed to ru...

Re: New member with racecar!
It is off the arse-end of a Peugeot 405Mi16x4. The subframe on that car is the same as a BX 4x4, but the hydraulics are set up to be a lot stiffer for the 405 (the BX still ran a sphere for each wheel). Having a single shared sphere should have a double-whammy effect on handling - there will be much...

Re: The return of Bertie
What's up with the front suspension? Not just blown spheres I assume?
When I first got my car, the front suspension was horribly clunky and rough due to worn struts. A good second hand set made the world of difference.

Re: BX brake pad question
So these pads fit in the BX calipers! They fit a fair few other Frenchies, including the 205 GTi 1.6 - so they're even available in Ferodo DS3000. That means my brakes might last a bit longer under race conditions!

Re: New member with racecar!
First race of our new season here, and I have been allowed to upgrade to 15" wheels: http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/ae349/Humungous/B6839B94-5C67-4273-B7AA-C7142515C997_zpshdwb5wyh.jpg Yep - Xantia alloys and a can of black paint! Not the lightest wheels, but they were free... I think they ...
