On the road as a daily driver. Needs a trans rebuild though...must double-clutch to get it into fourth. Some years ago we travelled south to Croatia with the valver I had then. Due to health problems I sold it.....but now there's plans for another trip to follow : http://epost.telenor.no/mobileoffic...

16 hours by train up to Bodø, arrived 9.15 am. Taxi to pick up keys, taxi to get to the car some miles away. Wrong keys! Phonecalls.....ten minute walk and got the right keys. Started immediately, rising! Found a tyreshop, left fifteen year old studded winters there, one damaged summer tyre needed r...

Wheels on car are studded winters, suppose it's original 16V on summers. Yes, all scandinavian BX's has headlightwashers and heated seats. Our 8-valver has it too. Heated seats are never working, however ;-) Didn't recognize the alu dash until you mentioned it ! Looks like left part of front spoiler...

Strange, I thought diesels and 16V's shared fifth gear ratio @ .757, but with a huge difference in final-drive ratio : http://www.205gti.com/techgearboxUK.htm

Somebody explain this ?? :)

Indeed. The Isuzu-made engine and Allisson trans was a great step forward comparing to GM's own turbodiesels and undependable truck automatic transmissions. It's been 23 years now since my last visit at the pod, but I remember it was " great fun " as Petter Solberg says. All weird stuff li...

Diesels masy have lots of torque, but they all have an extremely narrow power band due to the fuel's very slow combustion. In effect this means that a disesel engine will never be happy above 4000 RPM. No matter how many valves they put in the head, it's still limited by the the laws of physics. Tha...
