Re: 1989 G plate 16v (The green one)

So I never did get around to putting her on EBay, but I need the space, and the prices for Mi16 engines and parts alone are worth more than the scrapman would pay me, if I could be bothered to strip and store the engine. Anyone interested in the BX? Paintwork is a complete mess, bonnet has deformed,...

If you're enthusiastic, the green hornet is about half a step away from going to the crusher.

1989 G plate 16v (The green one)

One last shot before she goes on EBay for the organ snatchers - 1989 Phase 2 16 valve BX, 69k miles, no tax or MOT. Engine had a new cambelt fitted around 60k miles, suspension and steering hydraflushed and fine last time she was on the road. Repainted by Stevie Wonder in Bora Bora Green metallic. S...

Two of my valvers have done this. The first one had a problem with one of the fuel injection relays bolted onto the wing near the LHM reservoir. I cant remember what exactly it was called but it wasnt a regular relay though it looked like one. This one also used to cut out for no apparent reason at ...

Phase 2, low(ish) milage. £700 ono in Essex. Needs exhaust (got), brake pads and battery and she'd probably sail through an MOT.
She's very green.

PM me if interested.

I do, sort of, but Essex is some distance from the Wirral. Cold hard facts are that she's stood under a sheet for the last 9 months plus, my job no longer requires a backup car and I haven't got the spare time to play - though after reading some of the posts from the supercharged boys I was tempted!...

Silver P2 on BBC News front page

The current photo stream on the BBC news page "Snowfall delays Christmas getaway" includes a pic of three blokes pushing a blue Mercedes across a snowy road (Pic 2/6) And unless my eyes deceive me, the silver BX with a roof box in the background is a phase 2 16v. http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/m...

I used 1.9GTI rear spheres on the front of mine, ride is a little stiffer than normal 16v fronts. The 16v rears OTOH need to be originals, the ones GSF sold me were generic "well it fits a BX..." spheres and under some enthusiastic cornering reduced my rear 205/50x15 tyres to 200/50-x15. L...

Wasn't there some mad genius who posted here once who was shoehorning the Mi16 motor into an AX? Or did the angry pitchfork bearing mob drag him away before Igor could complete the transplant?

You're on a hiding to nothing posting here - the price of petrol most of us 16v owners wouldnt be able to afford the trip to Dover, let alone all around France! :D

Anyway, my valver has been "The Green Hornet" since the late 90's :P
