I have already tried this, if lowered 10-15mm it's ok, m anymore like 25-30mm the driveshafts vibrate and the front struts start to bottom and give a loud thud when hitting a pothole or speed bump. In the long run this will not be good for the struts. For extra firmness I have tried xantia hydractiv...

If you lower the dshafts are going to vibrate like hell.
Then the frt struts gonna keep bottoming and they might be damaged internally.

Change the main sphere first, then check the hyd. tank filter
if dirty ,clean it,or change it, from there check further until you are finally convinced it's the pump. very rarely does the pump give way.

Shouldn it be the same as the 1.9TD.
Petrol and diesel pumps differ in pulley size and angle of fit
but dunno about 2.1TD as we don't have this version here
but I presume it's the same as 1.9TD

It is the new type of ignition switch with two wires less but it is paired elsewhere , no worries ,just connect it. It has been sort of re-engineered
maybe for better current conductivity of sorts.

As I said earlier ,one cannot change the original birth particulars of a car but can convert the engine and specs to yr liking. What the fuss, just convert and use it, it's not like you will lose much value, also it's for yr personal use.... I think BX Hurricane 16V suits it very well. 16V is a fast...
