Re: Sleepless nights begin!

It is a worry when the car is not within your sight but if in good hands it helps. I know where you are at though. :(

You will be glad to get it back.

Re: Sad day poking and prodding the Ol' Girl yesterday!

I can't add to what the others said Timmo but I hope you can sort it. Sounds a lot but bit by bit and it may not seem too bad. Keep us updated.

Re: Happy Christmas

 Hi Mike, looks like just you and me again but in reverse order. Hope you had a good day yesterday, all fine for me. Still have the bx, all fine as far as I know other than a water leak under the thermostat housing. Will have to sort that. It is parked up dry right now, absolutely throwing it d...

That's good to hear Adrian, nice to get out and about in it I bet. I am having a bit of a clearout and when done I think I may get some nice cheap classic insurance and an MOT. Just the road tax that seems a bit unreasonable.

Happy Christmas

Hi Chaps,

Just thought I would pop onto the Happy Christmas thread during a quiet spell and there wasn't one (that I could see).

There is now so Happy Christmas and I hope 2013 is good to all.

Dave.

Hi Michael,

Looking at Haynes it reads 223 mm +10/-7 in normal position idling.
It is measured ground to axle crossmember tube.

The front is 166 +/- the same, ground to axle unit rear crossmember.

ME ME ME ME ME I'm back on the road! Failed its first attempt at MOT based on headlight alignment (well if you replace the front of the car, that seems acceptable), but passed a half hour later! Insurance is only £186 for the year too, classic limited, but i doubt i'll do much more than the shows t...

What model Zx Hi Mark, it is a Volcane TD in red, had it ages. I am just about to fit a cambelt, new discs and pads and should be on the road. Only problem is the road tax is ridiculous. I have a spare subframe off a Volcane apparently in good order but you never know until you fit it. Ab...

185 on 16v Speedlines?

Hi Chaps, just a quick question for comfort as much as anything.
I have a set of Speedlines off a 16v and may fit them to a ZX. Will I be OK with 185 x 60 x 14 on these. That is the ZX size so the speedo will be fine. :)
