I'll make a long story as short as poss then!! Dads BX was a n/a 19d. It was slow and the gearbox died. We decided it would be cool to wham a TD lump in it. So we built a 17td lump with 2.1 pump and injectors, got a second hand xantia autobox (the internals are stronger) and installed it. Had to mod...

I duno about that Luke, I cant give my spare 16v lump away! Hence it's sat in the back yard rapidly starting to look like the engine on E-bay..... Supply and demand I guess, in 20 years time when they are rarer than hens teeth I'll probly be able to sell it for £4000 (seized as well probably) but ri...

Does it count that I died twice last year (only for brief periods you understand) and therefore I could get away with saying I'm only 15months old, therefore making all of you seem very old?!?!? :D

The rear light earths are a pretty common problem on bx's and it seems all things PSA. Be warned, the mot is set to rise to over £50 next year due to "the additional testing time required under the new regulations" (from a memo from DVLA). Apparentley the mot now takes an average of 8.3 mi...

E-bay seller:
"the starting bid is a steal and there is no reserve so grab a bargain."

A steal? Bargain? It's been out of the car for 18months, the vendor recommends a full rebuild before fitting and £225 is a steal?
Me thinks I'll pass...... :D

Indeed, they are only a couple of quid. Be very careful fitting though, they have plastic threads and are extremley easy to cross thread.
I know this because.......
I ended up buying two!

If the loom is standard then as said above, the fans are always live, they are switched through earth to fire 'em in. So if you've got 12v at the fans then check relay R1, try changing it, they are known to fail, and as above fuses 1 and 5. If all this checks out ok then it's dropped the earth Cheer...
