hi mate

there are 2 sensors to do with oil on the back/bottom of the engine: the oil level sensor and the oil temp sensor. the oil temp sensor only has one wire, but the oil level sensor (plugs in about halfway down the block on the back) has 2 wires.

you may be getting the 2 confused?

i use total 'genuine citroen antigel' from gsf. quite cheap. 3 bottles' worth (1 litre each) sloshing around in the system should suffice. don't forget to use rainwater / deionised water, to guard against furring.

Yeh, spot on Luke. When I 1st saw the bill I was shocked, but then the MoT alone costs £50 these days. New tyre + disposal etc was another £50.. etc etc!

Still, at least there wasn;t too much wrong for the MoT which is always a relief! one more year of 16v fun for me :D

It soon adds up!

Just got the bill for an MoT (one new tyre and attention to rear light earths required) and handbrake cable (both sides) replacement. £230! The thing is, as you go through the invoice you realise that everything is reasonably priced. Just that when it's all totted up, it's a lot more than yo...

Hehe, could well have been, although my mate was based near Newquay rather than St Austell. I'll ask him if he ventured in that direction though. He did mention that the car got a few looks when parked up in various places so this may have been the situation he was referring to! Thank god it's all b...
