this shows up the problems you face when you paint up stuff without disassembling and cleaning first-that stuff looks great till you see where the paint stops, and the rust/crap begins. go to a fabrication shop/engineers an ask for some offcuts of 1-3mm steel. They should have buckets of the stuff. Grab some, read up, and get cracking!!!

I agree, the oil pressure gauge was dodgy new, let alone after 18 odd years!
Get another more reliable test, and chase the leak asap. I will sort a different, more reliable oil pressure gauge for mine once its built.

on aussiefrogs the banter is its an ex-bathhurst spare, imported with 160hp engine etc etc. looks quite nice.
