Yep I have the same full SS system and have had to have it welded in the past. The performance did improve but I still need to get the front down pipe changed.

I don't drive it hard that often. I think it's more a case of the not having the right exhaust set up and lots of cross town driving. I did get slightly better results out of the old grey one but I don't think the red one is any better. What rev range do you guy's use?

If I could get 30mpg out of t...

Why have I been so quite

Well with now only 9 posts to my name some of you may have been wondering were I've been, given my activity on the old forum. I'm afraid I've just been very busy trying to do lots of things like change jobs and cars and house and not get rid of the 16V. So ATM I have no car at all. The Mini has gone...

Boo I've had 0 breakdowns this year unless you include the c*** battery lead that needs an occasion wiggle to get the car to start and the ignition barrel refusing me to let me put the key in ATM (this was a second hand replacement barrel from an older BX as my little toddler decided to hide our onl...

Had the same thing happen to me in the same place on the car! with the same coloured paint! but no one saw it happen, fortunately it's not quite as bad so most of it has polished out already.

Shame I don't have a very firm grasp of English

The BX is an excellent car for a small family (which is why I will have to get rid of the Mini next year).
