Re: 2017 Who is on the road?

J-ROL still going strong in East London. At the moment having a workhorse-type life lugging crap around while I refurbish the flat. It has an annual jaunt to the south of France, looking like that'll be October this year. Spot of welding required under the boot (quelle surprise) and the roof and bum...

Re: Thermostat gasket

I've just replaced mine - the stat i received (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/401219862709) was marginally too wide so I had to file down the edges to get it in. It was also single stage 89 degrees instead of two stage 88-89 degrees which I was replacing. I couldn't hang around waiting for another more '...

The seller was the same person who managed to ruin my old white one in a matter of months, and then sold it off to be scrapped for the bumper trim

Re: K light on the dashboard

I'm fairly sure the abs light is the only one that is wired directly to the light fitting. Not 100% sure though!

The wire for the K light appears under the dashboard from the separate engine management loom under the RH side carpet in the footwell- which I guess is the passenger side in Portugal.

Re: Phase 2 BX16V Black - Barn Find

We all know how rare these cars are, so notwithstanding the timewasters who contact you, I would say the 'best thing for society' would be for it to remain intact rather than be broken. You're pricing it at £1000 currently, without an MoT. I would advise that you would certainly get £1000 and probab...

Re: Phase 2 BX16V Black - Barn Find

you'd have much better luck putting it on ebay, the facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/bxclubUK/) and also the bxclub.co.uk/forum.

Re: G-VOT is back on ebay!!

I'm sure an enthusiast would be able to sort this out. As we know, BXs have been enthusiasts' cars for at least the past 10 years, as their ubiquitousness on the streets (and hence mainstream mechanics' knowledge of them) and parts availability has diminished. So it's a shame when those without span...

Re: White Phase 2 16 valve breaking.

That's a shame. I hope someone is able to take the whole car on! I had ten great years with that car and it would be great if it were able to be kept on the road, if only for my own sense of sentimentality...

Hi Harvey If it's just the back and/or middle boxes you need, you may be ok with the local chain store. These parts are shared with the turbo diesel and 8v gti. However the down pipe on a bx16v is both difficult(ish) to remove without damaging nearby hydraulic and steering paraphernalia, and also a ...
