If you scroll down this page, you'll see a pic (it's the 7th last message) of a clutch pedal and a mod that cures it. Alan S Thats a clutch operating arm which is attached to the bell house, it's also the BE1 linkage. I guess it could factor into the pedal box problem, along with a dry/chaffed/rust...

does the car have to go through any sort of testing before your allowed to put it on the road?
