If you can't find a Harmonic Bal for yr Valver alternative is to
use one from the ZX16V (XU10J4 eng) that has an extra groove for
a 6PK belt.
Or send the pulley to a machine shop and press fit a metal
strip in and spot weld for an ever permanent solution.

Al least you have 100-200 left in UK , we only have one left here. and I have a half cut as spares (from HK) Even the 8V BX 19GTi are dwindling from the almost 1000 that were sold here. Can barely see any on the road now, I get stares when I drive my valver. BTW any one with a Superchip to spare for...

It should be a better gearbox with taller 5th gear,
In 5th gear rpm should be 3-500rpm lower than the one on a valver.
And it will fit without any problems.

I have one from a ZX16V but on my Ph 1 the reverse is left and up (BE1)
unless I change the gear rods together.

Any valver going to ICCCR Rome.

Anyone here will be going to ICCCR in Rome.
CCC seems to have quite a number getting ready
to go.
I wanted to attend but sadly some recent events forced me to reconsider.
If anyone is going do post the pics here.

Have fun there.

You could also improve the earthing, on BX,XM, and ZX
the earthing points are weak, get an earthing wire set
and connect one to alt, starter, body earths, inj, and
one to earth point behind dash.
You will find yr starting better and lights brighter in fact
power also improves a wee bit....

If you go there next check and see if any XM series 1 dash panel is available (just the dot matrix and blower control part) in good nick and XM series 2 door wing mirro...

cossie, are you staying near Luton/Dunstable area. My sis stays at Breachwood Green, near Luton. When I last came to UK during the DS 50th B'dat in 10/05 I went around scouting for used parts and ended up in a breaker yard after Dunstable on the way to Milton Keynes. I think it has a name with the n...

You can try changing these parts mentioned but we tend to overlook one important point, that the car is old and some parts are worn. This problem could be related to a wireharness problem. When hot just shake any point of the harness . Do these at various different areas and see if it stalls. There ...
