EOI D6C Pistons

Hi all, Does anyone know where I could find some of the High compression D6C/XU9J4 pistons? They're the ones with "Z" stamped on the crown. My car has the DFW/XU9J4Z with the "X" stamped pistons that sit much further down the bore. I'm not looking to buy immediately, more checkin...

Removed the doseur , replaced the seals, and got it back in today. Ended up taking off the top engine mount and outer cambelt cover. Also undid the bracket that holds the cooling hoses to the back of the cam cover and pulled the top one over to the gearbox side of the car a bit. Then we pulled the e...

Cheers Vanny, I'll be giving it a go this weekend.
I was thinking I'd have to move the water hoses.

Good to hear I don't have to mess about with the cambelt etc again though.
If it's just moving some water and hydraulic hoses that should be alright.

Brake Valve (Doseur) removal

What's the best way to do this? I've just finished putting everything back on after changing the cam belt and resealing the cam cover.. Now it's leaking Is it possible to remove the doseur with these in place? There's very limited access, but I think maybe If I move some pipes I can get it out from ...

My dad ended up getting the screw out in it's entirety so he's saved me the job of removing the radiator. We've replaced the screw with a metal bolt and kept the original O-ring. The bolt is M10, 1mm thread pitch, and about 20mm long. Here's a photo of the original plastic screw and the off cut from...

Cheers Ollie, So the intake doesn't have to come off? That's great, just what I was hoping for. Problem with the drain screw is that it sheered off before it went all the way back in, so it leaks; must have been about to go before I started tightening it up. Definitely will grease up what I can, the...

Radiator removal - Best way?

I did a quick search and didn't come up with much, feel free to redirect me. Has anyone taken the radiator out whilst leaving the intake manifold on? or is there an accepted best way to do it? Also any tips would be welcome The car is a 1989 Australian market Ph2 16 Valve with aircon as seen in the ...

Still a sad sight, hopefully the numbers will plateau soon and the good cars that are left will be taken care of.

Here's another interesting one.

I wonder what it would cost to ship the dashboard/de-mister vent to Australia? They all crack down here. :(

Just wondering if anyone has tried Speedline 434's on their valver. They're 15" x 6.75", but they're ET8. So, they protrude out .75" more on the outside than the stock 6" ET15 speedline. They would protrude .25" more than a 7" wide wheel with an ET of 15. Do you think t...

No I haven't mate, I would think it would cost silly money to get wheels shipped here from the Uk. I'll keep an eye out around here but my priorities have changed somewhat. I think the nimrods might be a fair way down the track now, the car needs lots of work done in other places first. I'll start a...

Thanks Ian, I've decided to pass on the 15's and I'm waiting for a set of 16's to become available. They really do look cracking in graphite with the polished lips. Your information has been invaluable so far. Thanks for posting further pictures and information! I'm really looking forward to seeing ...
