FD can't be swapped though. Unfortunately. GTI6 box with Mi FD would be perfect!

Miles just did my belt and the old belt had been on there 3 years but only 16000 miles yet when I turned it inside out I found one place where a crack was begining to form between the teeth!

I'm a wiperblade tight arse. First thing I did was buy some from the Pound Shop. Their finish was nice, very glossy, but they weren't up to much for removing rain from glass! So then I bought some from the local Tesco superstore for I think about £3.75 - and seriously - they are as good as what Half...

My gearbox oil has been leaking for ages and I'd been topping her up now and then but really I'd lost track of how much oil was in there so I figured I'd do a complete drain and refill. In the past I've renewed gear oil to see if it'll help gear changes and been left disappointed. Not this time thou...

You mean the fuel pressure regulator on the end of the fuel rail?
I think you can do a test to see how much fuel is being returned to the tank, but it's 1.24am and it's in my haynes engine management book. I'll check it tomorrow.

Eh? Has a cap yes but not a distributor for timing like the jetronic engines.

Haha it's always the way though, I bet if you were spending a fortune trying to look after it and driving it gently everywhere the cambelt would snap or something!!
