35mm easy to get hold off? WHERE? 36mm is stocked in halfords and draper stockists, but i've not yet found a 35mm (but thats a correct size) and in fairness to do a drive shaft seal on the O/S you only need an 11mm, 13mm, 16mm, and 18mm socket, there is absolutley no need to undo the driveshaft nut ...

I guess it's not really a debate, you either like them or not! My biggest things against them are; * There REALLY cold when its cold outside *There REALLY hot when its sunny * there deffinately not as comfy as the 16v seats * They need regular care or end up looking horrid! BUT on the flip side, * T...

Hooly cow Luke, thats an impressive side impact to split the fuel tank! I've given them some serious beetings before (usually leaving something big and metal unde the car and forgetting it sinks) and have thus far never done any damage. I guess this was when BX's were reasonably new and worth fixing...

I see what you mean, theres quite a few complete sets on ebay at the moment for peanuts (relatively speaking), gives more hope to actually getting a BX off road! Decided to take mine for a bit of a jaunt round the fields at the farm today, made it on the exalto's but god only knows how, in retrospec...

What sort of tyre are used for rally/fast off road driving? More importantly can you get nobbly tyres that will go small enough to fit a BX?
I'm thinking both thick gloopy mud and friction free dusty surfaces!
and combining with a T16 4x4 BX

Pretty much as Kitch, but its the CV's that fail rather than the driveshafts. at 90 degree angle there at maximum compresion between hub and diff which doesnt help them, and they'res a good chance of the CV's locking up and then cracking under high load, it will result in all kinds of fun breakages!...

I went to Michelin Exalto's over the summer (uber uber silly double discount deal from Costco) on silver gti alloys (think there 185 which is the smallest you can get Exalto's in and had to be special ordered :( ), and my god there fantastic coming from 165 michelin energies. But as a general tyre, ...
simran, its not so advisable to try and fit the engine via gas axe and axel grinder though! :D :D :D  but surely the opposite of gas axe is welder and the opposite of ANGLE grinder is duct tape? Just watched a wiring loom rocket from me having highest bit and 3 hours to go at £5 to a final pr...
