That BX up there...

Hi all,

Does anyone have any more photo's of the Red & White racer at the top of this page?

Just want to get a better look at the branding/decals all round.

Cheers, Jay.

I said it before, on alfa 155/164 2 liters they used the same AFM, with nr Bosch 0-280-202-202. Good luck, i've changed everything, but have the same problems. I'm using a ignition coil of an XM, but that's a;so not the problem, maybe a leak in the headgasket between cilinders? Greetings, C4HDI110 ...

Possible blocked oil jet to the cam? The stopping & starting may have dislodged it.

When i took my sump off last year there was all manner of crap stuck to the bottom of it!

Pistons

Not 16v relevent due to obvious differences but: Do the the 1600cc pistons fit the 1900cc 8v engine, can't remember the bore/stroke on either & my Haynes is locked in the garage and the missus has the keys! 74mm/74mm rings a bell? Been offered a set of 1600cc low comp pistons for my 4x4 that wou...

Hi Jay, I sold it July'05 to Tim2cv on this site  At the time I hardly used it and it was wasting away on the driveway at the old house. He has since sold it on through ebay to a Citroen enthusiast. But we've both learnt the errors of our ways and bought other 16v's since :D Good to see you ba...

Because your mate starts fighting for drive and pushes harder on the rim which in turn gives you the drive back... then it all turns into a silly farce until one of you goes to make coffee while the other one does the work....

Been there, done that! lol

Health and Safety issues asides  you could speed things up a lot if you use the car as a lathe  Jack up and securely support (axel stands) the front. Set to normal ride height, start the engine & select 1st, usually only one wheel will rotate (the diff selecting the path of least r...

I'm on par with Kitch, pulling 15.75 qtr (0-60 7.6s) at FCS '04 in the G. Unfortunately it's not been on a track since. Although it does feel a lot quicker than the H, but a lot of that will be down to the twitchy suspension and the noise. Are they running a strip at FCS '07? (if i can get a day off...

It appeared to all us lot that it was an immobiliser issue, but it was an AA man who cracked it in the end. Apparently if the diesel fuel is too hot it 'pre-ignites' so thats the reason for the sensor. I'd hazzard a guess that it would be in the fuel line before the pump? Don't know any more than th...

Hi Rossco,

A friend of mine had the same problem with their diesel Cav, turned out to be the fuel temperature sensor. Not entirely sure where it's located as i can't get hold of him but the symptoms were exactly the same.

Brand new one was thirty-odd quid from Vaux.

Hope it helps.
