Hi Adrian E,
I am in process of scrapping a J Reg 16V. I am stripping it completely.

I can easily take the pipe off for you.

I live on IOW but leave regularly.

Which side do you want? I have just removed the front struts.

Last removal is the ABS ECU and front subframe.

Hi, I have a Citroen BX - 84 page Technical description. I was published by Citroen France . It covers only the BX16 and 1.4. Within is a detailed cutaway of each hydraulic unit in colour with description of how each works. (No power steering). It is a worthy source of data for suspension tuning, ov...

Hi All,
just to clarify I have a clone peugeot sump baffle in the engine.
I was told I would ruin the engine otherwise.

Thanks for the useful info from you all.

Hi Robin, Yes I think someone did strip it of useful parts. I have given up listing all the parts I have replaced. Its done 213475 miles = maybe 50 Oh yes when I first looked at it with a heady 210,000 miles I just walked away. My Pug 309GTI died after 104,000 miles. But anyway suspension wise its a...

Hi,
I am sure the Group B Lancia Delta had a turbo and supercharger.
It wailled like a banchee in the forests.
As you also said, VW are now doing it on their TFSI engine.
(I think that is the name).

Hi, Im interested in a more positive linkage. Mine is really slack.

I can get the gears easily enough but the gate is huge.

Also in my driving position the gearstick is forward a long way.

I thought the bottom of the stick might be able to be bent back so the top in 50 to 75 mm further back.

Coolant & Flow - General

Hi, In a new technical topic - Additional Engine Cooling.which I wrote earlier. I think removing the hoses to the heater matrix would be beneficial from a track day maintenance point of view. Obviously you loose the heating, which Im not pleased with. But, you get much better access to the exhaust m...

Additional Engine Cooling

My BX 16V (J990JMW) - I think ex- Mr. Hughes. I took it to a track day at RAF Odiham in April, the engine oil and water temperatures were very high whilst on the track. My radiator looks old and could do with replacing, does anybody else suffer from this. Has anybody added more cooling area with a c...

Replacement Gear Linkage

Hi All, Stewart Baker of BakerBM is looking into a replacement gear linkage kit with rod ends. He told me a NZ chap had enquired and he was in the middle of investigating putting together a set for the 16V BX. My gear linkage is very slack so i'm interested. My thoughts are that its easier to buy on...

Hi All, I have placed an order for 2 x red sets of silicon hoses. I have spoken to BakerBM. The best way for him to receive the 50% deposits is a personal cheque. I wanted to do it with credit card as I thought it would give me a better form of protection. Steward saw the large downside to this from...
