Hey man that's great! I've checked the old ECU, you can find clickable pictures in the techtalk part of this forum (dead ECU) I don't think it's fixable, there seems to be corrosion inside the circuit boards. I could try to completely dissasemble it and rebuild it with new solder, but that's just un...

Well, I've worked a bit on the car now and I think I can safely say that the ECU is dead as hell. When starting the engine goes round a couple of times suddenly stops and then continues starting, stops again and so on. The stopping of the engine is totally random but it takes at least 4 turns. When ...

I don't know about the connectors yet, my ECU is in it's original place while his ECU is just located loose under the chair. I'll check the connectors before trying to connect anything. Also, he had a similar problem about two weeks ago, brought his car to the garage, they fitted a new TDC-sensor an...

Oh yeah  offcourse, I drive a lefty and the heater is on the right.
I don't think they completely redesigned the enginebay just to keep the heater reachable.

So discard my earlier comment about that

Nice work :D But it's possible to exchange the heatertap and radiator just by removing the glovecompartments. Oh, and be prepaired by the way, since valvers need a little more attention than most BXes you'll be bleeding a lot more too  On the Dutch BX sports forum we have a special dedicated to...

Well she's holding up quite good so far. Offcourse some small problems would occur. The previous owner didn't care too much about his cooling fluid, mostly water came out, so offcourse now the heater radiator is leeking, we've ordered a new one and install that tomorrow. And the starting is giving s...

Yeah :D and I'm so very pleased about it (the owner even more offcourse) Took us a long day to put it all together, but its more then worth it! When we bleeded the coolingsystem prior to taking off the cilinderhead, mostly water came out. If we take a look at the headgasket its clear to see that it ...

Runs like a charm :D But quite the work though, much more than I expected it to be. But after we've finished she started up really good! Well she smoked like a maniac from the exhaustmanifold, but after all the oil was burned there was no more smoke to discover :D Very tired and very happy! I've got...

Ah in the Ruhr area, I've been a lot in Dortmund when I had a Hungarian girlfriend. Allways flew from Dortmund to Budapest. That's not too far from Roermond, besides allmost all the autobahn between Roermond and Dortmund is limitless, giving me an excelent chance to drive like a maniak  If the ...

Thanks m8! Really appreciate the offer! I'll keep it in mind! Where exactly do you live in Germany? I live just on the border (Roermond). @Timmo, I know I know  but indeed I'll be very happy when she's alive again, good thing I was bright enough this time to mark most of the cables and hoses an...

Apparently he had this tuned 309 with adjustable cams, and just to be sure he held this ...
