Re: The BX Project
After all those changes and fixes, the car actually made it to and from Festival of the Unexceptional, without any issues! I've since discovered a mild coolant leak as a result of a piss poor hose clamp, but otherwise, she's been just fine. Not sure if that's luck, or maybe I know vaguely what I'm d...

Citroën BX - FotU 2022 Prep - More Leaks SPOILER ALERT - I did make it to #FotU last weekend, but it was very touch and go. By 7pm on the Friday before the engine bay content was all over the drive. Enjoy this tale of, erm, miss adventure . . . https://bxproject.co.uk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2022/0...

Citroen BX - FotU 2022 Prep - Fuel Leak Before I set off to this year's Festival of the Unexceptional, I wanted to trace a fluid leak near the engine. But first, the Citroen BX had a rather major fuel leak! Amazed I even made it. https://bxproject.co.uk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/BX-Fuel-Leak....

Re: The BX Project
The interlude didn't go unnoticed Vanny, I wondered what was happening. I just read through it all and then lower down, saw your car covered in snow. I'm slowly catching up. In real-time, XPO is actually getting new parts put on now, rather than just never-ending welding. Continues to be slowed by ...

Citroën BX - How To - Door Pillar Repair Legend has it, that BX doors regularly fall off. They don't, but it's often close. Let's tackle a Citroen BX door pillar repair, and keep that door firmly fixed to the car! https://bxproject.co.uk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/XPO_Pt20_Intro.png https://bx...

Citroën BX – XPO – Donor Panel A-Pillar Repair - Eps20 In this article, I tackle an inner A-pillar repair to the donor body panel. Now the Mega Shed is built, I can plough on with the XPO project. https://bxproject.co.uk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/XPO_Pt20_Intro.png https://bxproject.co.uk/blo...

Citroën BX – XPO – Welding Repair of the Scuttle Pt2 At last, the final scuttle repair can begin. This seems like a simple piece to weld in, but for the next panel to align, it needs to be neat. https://bxproject.co.uk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BX_Scuttle2_12_800.jpg https://bxproject.co.uk/b...

Holy thread resurrection Dave, nearly 8 years old.
On the flip side, I hopefully have many of these rads on a boat headed to the UK.

Another year of MOT and tax for me. Needed a bit of fettling which had to be outsourced but otherwise a clean sheet; https://bxproject.co.uk/blog/citroen-bx-pre-show-season-maintenance/ Also made it out to the first show of the season, the CC X-Rally https://bxproject.co.uk/blog/car-show-x-rally-202...

After putting it off for far too many years, the forum has finally been updated to PHPBB 3.3.7 (current available) and the SQL version updated to 7.4. This resolves issues with posting, and the 'contact us' feature.

Citroën BX – XPO – Welding the Scuttle Pt1 With the suspension turret repaired, I could turn my mind to making repair pieces and welding up the scuttle. Using the highly technical process of CAD. https://bxproject.co.uk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BX_Scuttle1_20_800.jpg https://bxproject.co.uk/...

Re: The BX Project
Citroën BX - XPO - Welding the Suspension Turret Non-structural repairs seemed a good place to start the welding on XPO. But rot in the suspension turret panel soon changed that! I don't claim to be a welding hero or perfectly neat, but it's functional and better than the rot it replaces https://bx...
