There is a good write up of that car on the BxClub forum.

I would have kept it a real sleeper and not fitted the bodykit.

I wish, Mrs Mike would divorce me :!:

I was tempted to go and look at, as not that far away but decided not too as I would have bought it, knowing me

I have messaged the new owner through the 205 forum to clarify the situation, will keep you posted.

I would say that it has been bought to be put back on the road :D

Depends how well the original engine was taken out and what state the hydraulic pipes etc are like afterwards.

I will probably be proved wrong though.

Hi Gary,

Do you have a list of dates and venues that you will be racing at over the summer?

Might try and come for a day out.

Thank you,

Moved to the section that I think you wanted it in.

Are the SMR the lightest weight version of the 1.9 wheel, if so dont the 205 boys hunt these down avidly?

Pity but they can't all be saved.

When you scrap the shell, would it be possible to cut through some of the sections and see what the corrosion is like in the hidden areas, just curious to compare to the obvious visible areas.

This has been well discussed over on the Bx club forum. Only made in left hand drive and never imported into the Uk right hand drive market. There were / are a couple that a guy in Scotland owns but I've never seen them at a show and he might not have them anymore. The seller bought it from France e...

Hi Jay and welcome back ish to the forum,

I do remember your old user name from the dim and distant past, nice to see your interest in the 16V renewed.

Keep us posted on progress with the car, it will motivate me to get on with my winter projects.
