This sounds trite but if I still had a 16 valve I'd commit to a set. I have a couple of ideas in mine and do intend to find a 16 valve this year so if it helps, count me in as a 50/50 maybe.

If the Mi16 had the 16 valve engine and were more robust, does the transfer box (by inference stronger) fix a BX 4 x 4, does anyone know ?

Taking it another step, use a Mi16 to be a donor for a 16 valve 4 x 4 ?

I averaged 33 mpg consistently over a period of many months, I could have done better I guess but ... it's was a 16 valve. Now I average 42 to 45 out of the Xantia 2.1 TD over all travel. Got 36 mpg towing the C2 back from Doncaster on a large tandem trailer, and I passed things (bad me !)

42MPG on a run if careful ... is there anything that doesn't pass you ?

As she was driving home from Uni I got an oh grey 16 valve that looks like it doesn't move coz it's got green bits on it (hands free kit).

She's going to look proper next time, personally I'm amazed she noticed.
