TD Hurricane Phase 1 lookalike in Triton green!

As the title says! am selling my TD its a J reg car in Triton green and has the 16v Phase 1 look. I've had it for about 7 years and anything thats needed doing has been done! Including, new Pleides Hydraulic pump, new cylinder head (NEW not refurb!) and is now running a 1.9 bottom end. Clutch, shaft...

Am still working this out - see other thread on adjusting rthe cogged wheel in the AFM - don't do it unless you have access to rolling road or a wide band llambda to stick up the pipe and watch whilst under load. mine still isn't quite right either can get idle good but not at same time as part thro...

200 ! or even 112, thats obscene, last i bought was 55, and if thats wrong then I'd mod it for less than that and fit it. Could just fit the front onto a new rear box tho!

this one may be a special, but Citroen did make TD autos - read a whole article on them when citroen where still thinking we might buy another new one! rare tho! worse still i say an add for a NA Diesel auto the other day, what joy that must be.. :roll:

If you want a prpoer job of the wheels be carefull, a lot of refurbs use a plastic coat type of finish which is quite thick and cracks! which is worse than you started with! better to find a grit balster to clean them up, mine charges 20 per wheel, but a bit dependant on pattern - 16v ones are easy!...

Just been digging about in the shed - I do keep some crap! anyway have a choice of towing eye covers, both red, one has been painted but is clean on the back, the other has less paint on but has previously been glued on - personnally I'd find it easier to slice the glue than to prep someone elses pa...

Mine charge £32 for the test and let me go away and do the silly stuff without a retest, and charge 15 if they have to book it back onto the computor, they also let me blag borderline stuff if they know its one I service regularly and keep an eye on... labour rates vary enourmously, if theyre chargi...

All shafts are physically interchangeable except early suitcase engines, all 1.9 Gti and TD are fine and exactly the same, some of the 1.6 and normal D use smaller CV joints, but the inner shaft is the same on most, for reference if your using second hand and mixing and matching, some TDs around J r...

Could be, do occasionally get faulty NGK....... can't identify which one now tho :D
Doesn't idle as well on the singles but at leass it runs, and it has run on them for the previous 3 years, maybe I'll be brave next service and try the others again or get some proper eyquem.
