I found my knob

I sold my original gearknob and my spare one... now I've decided that the pool ball item doesn't really cut it and want a standard one :( does anyone have a spare?

--edit - found the spares in the cellar! :) --

In summary from what I remember when I looked at doing it... no point, it will handle worse (and increase driveshaft wear, I think). The trouble is that as you change the ride height on the BX the spring rates from the spheres change too - so if you lower it it will get bouncier. If you are going to...

Hey Mike - you're right, that is the best option. I'm only after another one because a) they're getting harder and harder to get hold of, and b) just in case the Powerflow system is so loud that there are certain situations where a swap back to std might be needed. I think the one I have on at the m...

Genuine NOS downpipe

Having just bought Robin's Powerflow stainless system for the 16v I could do with a downpipe to go with it. It needs to have the correct, ie full length, split it in. I think Walker did one that was correct. There are quite a few with a shortened split which robs torque, so I need a real one. Corros...

Hi Rob, I'll have it. I won't be able to pick up until Feb when I'm working down there, but I'll happily pay you now if you like?

All the best mate, will be good to see you again.

I used to have a set but never fitted them to the BX. However, I've seen photos of them on 16vs so they will definitely fit. I think with 205s they will fit with an arch trim at the rear, with 195s they will fit with no modification. Provided your rear arm bearings are in better shape than mine :D

I'm coming very late to this topic but... my red phase 1 is laid up too, half way through its track car conversion. Basically the inside is all sorted, I've stripped the interior, headlining, rear door cards and sound deadening. It still runs, but is waiting for rear arm bearings, long hydro pipes, ...

Genuine downpipe

As above - with full length centre split. Don't actually mind if it's genuine Cit as long as it has the splitter - I'm pretty sure Walker ones are correct, for example.
