Spheres, do they deteriorate ?
Does anyone know if spheres deteriorate if not used. If so, I may well put my new ones on the car now. Secondly, will being on the car accelerate their demise. What wears them out, use and time or mainly use? When I say use, in my case it is not thousands of miles per year, more like 10's of miles f...

Just bought some: Left 96080793 (RP312127) Right 96080792 (RP312126) Hi Jay, clearly the top number you quote caused me concern being different to mine. I have checked with dealer, they are the same part, my number just supercedes the one you have. At least we now know we have the correct part. Tha...

Oilseal-diff part number
Hi chaps,
Does anyone know the part number for the oil seal where the l/h drive shaft goes into the diff. There seems to be a bit of ambiguity at the dealers about it. I have 312144 at the moment, the same as saxos. Does not specify it very well on the parts list.

Wow, just over a year since I started this thead. Where am I at? Last year I needed a new front O/S ABS sensor. This I fitted and the damn light stayed on. Further checking showed rear N/S gone! How could that be I thought, not even been out. Finally two weeks ago I fitted the new sensor. Did not re...

Had the BX out of the garage today. Not been started since April  Started immediately. So much nicer than last year when I had the starting problem. Turned out to be a spark plug at fault. I had an old Equyem in the draw which I fitted when I discovered one cylinder was missing. At least it ha...
