Before you get too excited, I almost got caught with that on the series one when we did it up a few years back. Make certain they are talking "complete" tappets if that's what you need as we were quoted for one lot, the small ones IIRC but found it was a lot more when the larger outer buck...

Adrian, Unless they've changed the design, that small pipe is teed into the large return pipe. The difference between the 16V and diesel is that the 16V has a cone type end on that small hose whereas the diesel is just one size right through. The larger part of the pipe is also a different length up...

The logic as I see it in using a sealer is that given the age of these cars and (over here anyway) the habit of owners to use water or outdated coolant in them has caused many to be very pitted particularly on the head. These pits can cause sealing problems as regards fluids such as oils and coolant...

the liners arent dislodged, as far as i can tell with a steel rule all is flat on the block. Er, the liners shouldn't be totally flat with the block, there should be some protrusion, I just cant remember how much off the top of my head, and it's very late to be trawling back home to check the data ...

When I recently did the DKZ engine, I used a Rolls Royce sealant I was given by an old mate who reckons it's the old version of Hylomar. He reckoned to paint it all with it, but I can see that ending in tears with the way that stuff can get in places you don't really want it, so I painted the face o...

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't there a couple of these bolt holes that have dead ends or am I getting this mixed with a DKZ engine? If they are dead ends, then whatever you do, don't squirt oil down them as it just compresses in the ends when the bolts come down on it and can give a false ...

The plugs are properly connected to the injectors I presume? I've seen heaps who just pushed the plugs on without first lubing in one way or 'tother and the pins push back up inside the plug. Then wonder why all of a sudden they have rough running, intermittent running or no running at all. A mate o...

Just been over and measured a couple for you. When new, from underside of bolt head to end of bolt is 175mm exactly. When stretched mine measured 176.5mm, so stretch is apparently 1.5mm. I use an old bolt with a flute cut out down the threads lengthways down the bolt as a method of cleaning out any ...

Just an extension of what someone else suggested. Doubly check that the oil galleys are all running clearly and that you don't have a blockage creating pressure in a certain section of the system. What jogged my mind on this was a couple of weeks ago, I was involved in a dyno tuning of a sprint car....

It could be one of several things. Seems strange it's doing the same thing as before, so first up try a leak down and compression test to see if the problem is ring related. You say the head was planed but was the block decked? Did they find any warps in the head prior to planing? Sometimes, a head ...

If it's anything to go on, IIRC I was once quoted A$345 for one.

Last 2 I've had doing this were a TZi and an Mi16 and in both cases it was the pins jamming open, one partially, the other fully, on the injectors. The BX just ran like sh*t, blew black smoke and then just wouldn't start and the Mi16 went out with a bang and took a liner with it just for good measur...

I think you'll find that "T"s into the pipe that runs from the radiator back to the water pump.
If I'm correct, be sure you have a fair bit of credit left in your credit card account before you leave to go and collect it. 'tain't cheap IIRC.
