That looks good, although if you can only follow slowly behind a pace car it might be a bit dull? Racing would be really good to watch though :)

Oh, the only thing I think it may have had is a skimmed head. The head gasket was a really thick one, like it was substituted at some point.
I put a much thinner one back in when I rebuilt it

You went in it anyway, it didn't reach 110mph where Tim Leech did

Yeah, they had standard part numbers on. The ECU is stock, everything is standard. Except for that T.B and the lightened/balanced bottom end which I doubt does nowt anyway. I need to drive more std ones to see what the differences are. It felt quicker than the grey one, but then that had a shot bott...

So when we gonna do something?

It suddenly dawned on me....we've got a great new forum, new direction and morale is high (or should be) Last Saturday I went on a rolling road day with my mate and the Nissan 300ZX club. They travelled from all over the country to meet up and pop their motors on the dyno. Then once it was finished ...

I duno about that Luke, I cant give my spare 16v lump away! Hence it's sat in the back yard rapidly starting to look like the engine on E-bay..... Supply and demand I guess, in 20 years time when they are rarer than hens teeth I'll probly be able to sell it for £4000 (seized as well probably) but r...

Some of them are the same, it depends whether the 8v lump has a dizzy or a coil pack. Not all though, I tried the wrong one with hilarious results.....flames! Big ones!!

Most dealerships I've dealt with have asked for payment up front, so wouldn't worry there. Your best bet would have been to source a head set, they've got it all. I used gasket sealant when I changed mine first time around with no problems at all. I've used cornflakes boxes to make them in the past ...

On paper I guess so. But I'd be hard pushed to tell the difference in either, until the valver came on cam!

Whats this about an 8v having more torque lol? They have the same amount, its just easier to reach.

Good project though, but he's ruined the body. That thing looks cack!
