could it be the IDLE CONTROL VALVE as this controls the amount of air in fuel/air mixture at idle speed, so too little air would cause a rich mixture which will give bad idling & a high CO level.

Hopefully they'll do a refund as they state on their reciept they will refund within 7 days if goods are returned undamaged, or are unfit for purpose, so fingers crossed.

Has anybody sourced a non Citroen amp that works & are all 16v amps the same, mine is a 6 pin Bocsh 0227100123 & MTR01

i'd be interested to know if your ignition amp works ok - every time i've tried to fit a new one to mine, it cuts off the engine over 2,500 revs :? mine managed a heady 3000 rpm  & rev counter was all over the place, so I refitted the old amp and noticed it only had 6 pins, the Motaquip ha...

In theory you can but it takes a lot more amps than steel to melt as it's far more conductive, it's the resistance of the wire that generates the heat to melt it, it all depends on the power of your kit, you'd probably need to use argon as well to prevent the ally from oxidising.

Very. Silver is best, followed by copper, gold then alluminium & brass. Alluminium alloys & brass are a cheaper alternative to copper and at the very high voltages an HT coil works at are fine.

Parcelforce 48 as quoted cost £14.75 up to 10kg.
Royal Mail standard parcel for 4kg would be £7.70
DHL 2/3 day up to 25kg is £7.99

and thats without materials & time so £12 isn't too bad

I did look at that ebay one when it was active but thought Motaquip isn't GENUINE? I thought Gen would be in Pug/Cit Box/wrap? I thought that too, so I asked at the factors about Motaquip stuff and without any prompting he said Citroen used Motaquip products  Mike, did your Citroen supplied ...

Point taken Mike but as I only do 2k a year £23 for cap & arm(Lucas) I'll give 'em go, 'though I wont be binning the originals just in case
The ignition amp came with a satchet of clear goo, is this a heat transfer paste? as the only stuff I've ever known has been white.
