'Started' with a Vauxhall Chevette 1.3 GLS. Brought for £50 in the free ads paper and came with 3.5 pistons and front wings made of rust. Replaced the broken piston with one that nearly fitted, sold it before I passed my driving test! My first real car was 1979 Vauxhall Viva estate 1.3SL in bronze. ...

Bumpers
Wasn't someone once talking about making up some moulds for fibreglass replicas of the Phase2 front & rear bumpers?

If they axe Top Gear, we'll be left with Fifth Gear (which isn't nearly as fun) or the glod-awful dregs from satellite channels. I mean, have you ever seen Sky One's flagship car show Vroom Vroom? It redefines the term 'b*****ks'. (Forum stops me saying rude words. Hint - It ryhmes with Oar Locks :D...

I beleive the green hornet is an ex-PTS car, and anyone who's seen her up close will agree that the paintjob looks like it was applied by Stevie Wonder using a vacuum cleaner on reverse and quality checked by Ray Charles. There's flat and rough spots all over the metal and and set of pinholes on the...

Purely from memory (the BX is currently boxed in the garage since the local pikeys expressed interest when picking up a scrap cooker from my place), the downpipe and manifold are seperate and join at the back of the engine bay, dont they? If so, how hard would it be to get a custom exhaust maker to ...

Yes, it's Bora Bora Green, a proper PSA colour. I've seen it on Xsara Picasso's and the odd Saxo, but the amount of flat metal on the BX really makes it stand out. People were literally stopping and staring when I drove by for the first couple of weeks :) The shuts are sprayed in, but the engine bay...

Wind the adjuster back in! I found with all 3 of my 16valvers (89/90 phase 2's) that if you adjusted the mixture screw so that CO was about 1.5% it gave noticably more punch in the midrange. Dont ask me why the idle mixture adjustment did this, but it worked! For me, the start of the power band shif...
