I saw a few at Japfest at Castle Coombe a few years ago, fantastic cars! There was a red one, like in the pic, going round the track that nothing could keep up with. Gawd knows what he had done to it, but it was a monster. The one I really wanted that I saw there was the rally version. Can't find th...

Re: diesel engine
I've had a couple of 205 TDs, great little cars. I had big plans for my first one - 1.8TD engine with intercooler, adjustable wastegate, auto bonnet with vent for i/c, GTi front brakes, bilstein dampers etc etc. Got some of it done, but then had a slight incident with a tree... Anyways, from what I ...

No worries mate, that sounds about right to me anyway. I've been thinking about getting the straight link pipe from Cituning, but am concerned it may be a bit too loud, so this might be a better option. But money is tight at the moment, so I'll have to leave it for now anyways, and maybe come back t...

Interesting graphs - you can clearly see the extra breathing ability the extra 8 valves give to the engine! And to me it looks like the 16v is a pretty well designed engine. The 8v is a good engine IMHO and the 16v manages to more or less match it to 4.5krpm and then takes off. Whats the difference ...

I just pushed it back up in, and it's held for the 60 mile round trip home. Only done a few hundred miles since then but haven't had any problems. But I've left all the steering column covers off so I can have another look when I get chance (the list of jobs is getting bigger and bigger). I had the ...

Damn you, I've always lusted after the Goodwood :) One day.... Well it's an engine designed for power, in the sense that it was built to power the flagship models (BX 16v, 405 Mi16, 309 GTi 16v), and if you want power from a n/a petrol then you have to make it rev. Hence the 160bhp @ 6.5krpm! Unfort...
