Well the reason i asked for some better conrods, is because here in Portugal at least 3 1.9 16v engines had problems with the conrods.
It seems to be a problem of bad lubrication when the engine is pushed to very high revs.

A friend of mine needs some Conrods for his 16v. The problem is that Citroën does not suply anymore this parts.
Is there any company producing conrods for this engine, and if possible of better quality than the original ones?

hi there, the fuel pump relay is beside the lhm tank. there is 2 there 1 is ignition and the other is fuel pump. by the way the noise from the rear is the fuel pump and the click from the front will be the fuel pump relay, as when you turn the ignition on the fuel pump goes on for 1 or 2 second to ...

In that case I would definitely suspect the injectors are the relay will be the fuel pump relay and the noise at the back wil be the fuel pump so the fuel rail is obviously loosing pressure so if there are no leaks visible I reckon it will b epoorly seated/sealing injectors. Can you tell where the noise is coming from i.e. front or rear of the car? I would have the injector thoroughly tested and cleaned as they may well not be shutting off properly or leaking when they should be fully closed. I think Alan S has had similar issues. Thanks to all for the replyes. In the Citroen dealer they told me that i have an electrical problem somewhere in the ingnition circuit wich results in excessive fuel in the injectors.
