When I ran the 17's on the car I had to file down the inner side of the fiberglass Arch cover, if you look at the picture od the sport you can see the wheel is Close to the front of the rear arch, is the section on the insdie used to catch on the tyre, They look the Nuts of nice rims though, was Dan...

If is a 20mm ET rim then won't need a spacer as will be out quite tight to the arch edge, A 20mm spacer would bring it down to a Zero offset, you'd need some work on the arch to get them in if at all, iirc the Std alloy is an ET15 so you can judge the extra space needed from the rim edge out, not fo...

Exhaust is different, larger diameter on the 16v, discs are vented too, iirc on the gti they are solid, obviously rev counters different due to higher red line, etc. Not sure if the block the same or not?? Something tells me the waterways are different?? And pretty sure gearbox ratio's are different...

The rear lights earths are behind the units themselves, they often get iffy as the sunroof drains come down to the same place, 10mm nut i seem to remember?? Engine bay earths are battery to gearbox, battery to battdry tray to gearbox, battery to chassis in behind the battery corner area, and chassis...
