If you had air con, you would already have 2 fans. to wire in 2nd fan: wire the new fan in parallel with existing fan. wire a second low speed dropper resistor in parallel with the existing resistor. job done. both fans now spin at the correct low speed when engine is hot, and both spin at high spee...

I made a post describing 2nd fan fitment, a quick search on this site should find it. The only difference is the fan blade diameter. You could cut down the blades, but don't use an angle grinder to cut plastic. you will melt the plastic and a shower of hot molten plastic may hit you in the face. It ...

It's all very well folks saying the diesel is as fast as the petrol car, but the oil burner has two turbos on it,and the petrol car has none.

If the petrol car had two turbos as well, the diesel would be far behind.

Go faster stripes are cheaper and probably more effective.

Unless you know it has been done recently, while the engine is out replace the octopus return pipe.

It is cheap to buy, and soooo much easier to fit when the engine is out.

As you are obviously planning on keeping the car, replacing it would be a wise move.

Welcome to the fold,

The BX16V would not give a very impressive time figure on the Top Gear circuit, as the handling is not really suitable.

The Bx handles well, but modern cars can handle extremely well.
and so they should, 25 or so years later.

I hope you did not tell him why you knew the 'box so well.

He would be telling classes for years after how this amazing lad put the thing together effortlessly!

A friend once had a complete leather interior for sale, I very nearly fitted it in mine, but decided against it because I prefer the non slippy finish & huggy shape of the BX16V seats.

I stand corrected- certainly the leather travels around as it outlasts the rest of the car.

I have not seen aircon without leather before in a BX,

perhaps someone has pinched the leather interior already.

The fuel pump is easy to change, it lives under the floor on the offside by the filler pipes.

The filter hungs under it in a large black rubber thing.

I managed it Ok with 2 jacks, a few axle stands and the pit. It is a fiddly job, and took me a long time. I hear the kunifer pipes are easier to bend to shape than the normal steel pipes I used. At least the parts are cheap. the worst part is getting little bits of dirt falling in your eyes. A four ...
