alloys

Hi
Really depends on the rim and how deep the curbing is.
If it is deep then ideally a lathe or specialist tooling is required to take the alloy back to undamaged surface.
If it is light then you may be able to rub it down and polish it back yourself.

Are they std 16v rims?

BX 16valve register

I have just added an Owners Club section to the mainsite, this includes a BX 16valve registration form so you can submit details of your car via the mainsite and hopefully this will help with the updated register. In a similar vein to the old site and forum we ask that people wishing to join the Own...

After reading this thread again I would definitely second Alans suggestions - being thorough is always a good thing IMHO

I am a fan of Schultz myself but it is so much easier with a gin and compressor.
The good thing is that the BX seems sturdy so you don't really need to go mad at it to help preserve it just sensible proceedure I guess.

stuff

:D I know I am full of useless info
It is lucky that it seems BX 16v owners do have a sense of humour, puns about needing one are not required but dare I say we do tend to have the last laugh 8)

16v

Hi
I can't remember your symptoms but I would whip the plugs out for a quick check then retime and tension the belt with stepped pins if at all possible.

Hope it turns out to be an easy fix

Hope you decide to try one mate.
On the suspension front all you need to do to give a softer more "floaty" ride is to change the spheres and they are only about £45 a pair so no biggie - you can virtually make the ride as hard or soft as you desire.

Good stuff I was into the kitcar scene from 1988 to around 1993 so remember the Nova.

All you need to do is use IMG tags to put up ics on this forum or if you want to get into the Members Projects area then there are topics about this in the Announcements section or send me a pm.
