According to Peugeot the UK mi16 got m1.3 motronic from chassis number 7000000(which was 1991 H reg), I know that's no help to you bx folk but I assume Citroen started on 1.3 around the same time.

I've got the original 405 brochure that features the torque and power curves for both the XU9J4 and the XU9J2... just wish I had the same for the XU9JA. XU9J2 matches the XU9J4's torque up until about 4.5 to 5k revs if I remember correctly. I'll scan it in later. (Hey Kitchio you found those TBs yet...
