Cheers Vanny, I've got a cousin in Bury who I'll be seeing in a month or two so I'm gonna aim to get him to collect them, but if that fails your offer is appreciated.

Was available on most BX models 1990 - 1992ish (it's an XM colour originally) but as Timmo says, not the 16v. It's not a particularly 'butch' colour, and Citroen were keen to push the 16v as being a bit hairy-chested when the ph2 came out.
Guess that's why it never happened.

At anything less than 4.5k - 5k revs, the XU9J4 lump is pretty much dead! It's almost like it's got VVC or something. The later 2.0 iron blocked versions in the ZX 16v and Xsara VTS deliver more grunt, but also weigh more. But using the transmission you are, you'll struggle with anything designed to...

Wouldn't be too hard to do, but the real question I'd raise is why would you do it? Unless the 16v as a car is hard to find where you are. The engine would go to BX 4x4 from my signature. Reading descriptions of various ECU I've found following differences: In that case, your bigger headache will b...

If nothing else, XU9J4 block is alloy, the rest are steel and 16v compression is higher due to different pistons so the EMS won't function correctly and your pistons will hit the valves! So, it can't be done without changing the pistons and then, to be honest, you wouldn't want to! All XU9 petrols ...

What he said ^^^^ Weird as it sounds, try charging the battery up fully if it isn't already. I had a similar thing with mine where it would run fine.....if you got it started. Turned out the battery had enough juice to crank the engine over nicely, but not enough to share enough current to the ECU a...

My 16v has recorded about 2k miles this year so far, although it could be twice that really as I didn't get the speedo working until May!

It's good for the model. I kinda get the feeling the 16v (and BX in general) is getting just that little bit more exposure now, and that they're possibly just approaching the brow the hill from banger to classic

BX 16v on PH

Didn't know if anyone on here visits PH or might be interested, but the BX 16v got a bit more coverage today:

That'll be the 2.2 4-pot turbo lump IIRC. When I was a kid there was a kid in my brothers years who was the school year goon. No friends, bit of a geek. His mum had a sage green 505 GTi/Turbo, B reg one. Mint it was, they had it years. He's a radio station DJ now, one of the big ones I too I believe...
