Best you replace both the flow divider and regulator together, something has gone wrong there, overpressuring. Anyone has done a Xantia conversion job here, thinking of doing that or fitting in a non-power steering from a 16RS. Any suggestions.if anyone done a xan type conversion pls do post some pi...

H474, well one has to play safe than be a fool. My 16V which is a '89 model has only 33,000 miles on the clock upto now and at 25,000 mls the belt snapped but at the previous owners hands, he spent a pretty sum repairing it. So it is age that plays a part too. BTW i had the water pump changed recent...

djoptix, I use xantia disc on my BX19GTi from the 8V 2.0 and they work fine ,it's a direct fit just use the disc and calipers ,thats all. In fact they 'over-brake' it's too powerful can practically stop on a dime. Plus can still use 14in rims ,they barely clear the caliper by 2-3mm. So fitting the b...

I don't think it is necessary to change the sump/ If you notice under the 16V sump there are cooling fins Air flow underneath will sort of cool the engine oil in the sump. So don't change it. If you really want the trap door just cut it out from the 2.0 sump and weld it back on the 16V sump, then yo...

The pump from the 8V turns in a clockwise direction and even the 16V one is the same. It is fitted in the same west-east location so it can't be any different. But it can also turn in the opposite direction and still give pressure as it is a swashplate design,so whichever way you turn pressure will ...

I think to get better bite just get a pair of xantia calipers, they have bigger surface area and bite just a bit better since 16V already using xantia ph1 disc 266mm xantia2 I think is 288mm which won't fit with 14in wheels. You can fit the estate xantia bigger brakes to the rear of the BX but you h...
