funny, every time i've used non-synthetic oil my gearbox has got very upset. maybe it depends on the box's history? i.e. if it's always had synthetic, stick with it, and vice-versa... :?: currently got the Total stuff that Citroen recommend in mine, and it's smooth as a whistle (well, a 160,000 mile...

oil temp sensor

yup, the one that screws into the sump. anyone got one cheap? mine's just sheared off the thread for the wire. amazingly i'm coping without knowing the temperature of my oil, but i'll go insane soon enough, so fancy getting it working again...

my front subframe is bent from jacking... i do spread the load with wood, but as others have said it's not made of the stiffest metal in the world.

i too would like to stick up for the standard jack - i think it's great.

does it alter the note at all (i.e. more 'sporty' sounding)?

i think the k light came along with the ECU change from ML4.1 to M1.3 (in 1991, mid H-plate).

although i used to have an H plate phase 1.5 (i.e. the one with original interior and ECU but later bodystyle) which i swear had a k light, but maybe my memory's going...

i keep the tatty plates on mine as i've got a sneaking suspicion that speed cameras can't read them. they're readable to the naked eye but any amount of flash photography makes them all blurred 8)

i'm afraid i don't know of any way of getting them out without taking off either the rad or the manifold.

both of those oil pressure sensors (one for the gauge, t'other for the light) only have one wire coming from them.

all in the haynes wiring diagram, if you've got one?

changing them's an inlet manifold (or radiator, depending on what takes your fancy) - out job. maybe at a push you could do it by removing the alternator and reaching through that way? make sure you use the right washer when refitting though - i learnt that to my cost when i rebuilt my engine using ...

i'm jealous of all you fellas running: a) quality tyres b) the same ones on each wheel (or at least 2 out of 4) Since I've had the valver (2002) it's been budget/2nd hand all the way. looks like i'm missing out on some of the car's handling potential. but then since i've never known any difference i...

1. Because ABS only applies above a certain speed (5 mph or summat isn't it?)

5. To save wear on the alternator?
