I was always under the impression that it was the later cars that dropped the "GTi" moniker to help lower insurance costs, bur there is speculation on BXC that they were the early ones!?

The last 16V in Britain...

We all now the figures are never completely accurate but according to http://howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/citroen_bx_16v There is only one BX 16V left in the UK! The more odd thing is it's an '86??? Who here has one of the rare "16V" registered ones? Fortunately, there is a massive 116 GTi-16...

Anti-clockwise is correct. And the car must be fully lowered with the pressure-relief screw undone. There are several methods to remove them, but being so close to the radiator you don't have a lot of space to play with. You can try sharply striking the sphere with a decent hammer to break the seal,...

Joi, DON'T release the pressure screw unless you're actually doing work on the suspension. To operate normally it MUST be done up properly. Only undo it if you're replacing any high-pressure parts (spheres, steel piping, accumulator, pump etc.). As Mike says, check they've actually got the right sea...

I don't quite understand your first problem but your second is a bit easier to address: Firstly, the screw does NOT let air out of th system, it simply reduces the FLUID pressure in the suspension. The suspension is of open circuit design meaning the fluid is used then returned to the tank. To remov...

Dave wrote:Hi Chaps, just a quick question for comfort as much as anything.
I have a set of Speedlines off a 16v and may fit them to a ZX. Will I be OK with 185 x 60 x 14 on these. That is the ZX size so the speedo will be fine. :)
Absolutely fine.

Sadate? That's only because the bitch-ass 150bhp TD lump that was in it ate itself

Spoiler wanted

Looking for a Phase 2 bootlid spoiler (the 16v/Hurricane whale-tail type). Colour/ general condition unimportant as long as it's solid.

Also the rear quarter vents to match (same source or seperately).

Cheers.

Not confusing with the MOT.

Either it's different at the Post Office or they've changed it recently as i did it last year with the Daishitszu... :?

I know you can still tax (when already taxed) from the 15th, not that that's any help to you!

So that's two pink valvers going to the ICCCR then! I'm also waiting for the end of the month to get tax, but i wonder if it will go up April 1st as it seems to do every year. I'm half thinking of going to French Car Show in June. I've heard Luke should have one car on the road this year too! Provi...

I find little difference in aftermarket caps and have rarely had problems.

I think the bigger issue is getting a cap full-stop! Most places are NLA and there's even only ONE on ebay now and it's over £30!

I think from hereon-in we're gonna struggle for even the most basic parts
