Changing it yourself, easy.
Rebuilding it yourself, erm, dont even bother..

I have a good mate who is breaking a 2.1TD Xantia right now as it goes, I honestly don't know if the pump is already spoken for, but I can enquire if it's available for beer tokens if you like?

Oi Luke, get off yer arse and get yer valver sorted! That do?? Actually I slightly broke mine a couple of weekends back, so it's sat in the shed awaiting a bit of a strip down... I'll no doubt having back on the road in a couple of weeks though, purely since it's the cleaner car to use when ferrying...

Thats a steady 60 mph, so whilst most things are hoofing past, if I'm in no hurry to get wherever I'm going, it's no hardship..

Ahhh, well, that explains it then! I thought for a minute maybe it had the 6 speed box.. I have been toying with the idea of sticking a TD cog set in mine for years, never bothered in the end though, I can get 42MPG on a run if careful with the loud pedal, and I'm usually alone in the car and have t...

No problem mate, there's a 4x4 just down the road from my yard, so I'll have a look at that one.
I didn't realise they were different.
That said, if I got one in my sweaty palm I'm fairly sure I could either fabricate one or find a suitable replacement.

I have pins that were made for me in a machine shop. The valver is due a belt, so if I ever get said pins back from Bandit then I'll write a little something up if you want. I do have a SEEM meter somewhere, but I never use it. Trying to actually get it on the belt with the engine in the car is a fa...

Doc, what do you mean 'fluting'? I have a vauge memory of one of my BXs having a resonator that looked a bit like someone had been at it with a giant pair of crimpers, but the others looked pretty regular. Thats the fella! The straight welded resonators have a habit of cracking leading to the possi...
