There are 2 ways either out the top with a high hoist and being carefull forwhich you need quite a good lift and that load leveller or out the bottom which is generally easier. And obviously take the engine and box out together. In essence you start by taking the radiator out so you don't chuck a sp...

I though 7ET where the 3 electrode...... which would be correct for the 16v, Allthough 2 electrode plugs are the way to go for the later incarnations fitted to 406 and so on. Usually BPR6EK which solve most Coil pack issues on 306's 406 and xantia etc! whatever the "book" says should be fi...

Gates supply most major manufacturers and were the first to gauarantee the high milleage diesel belt for the BX.
Dayco are also fine and are often fitted by main dealers as OE spec so no probs with either.

I get good prices on Gates so never use anything else

Jons had the whole scorpion system on and it did sound nice, only fault was the front pipe didn't have the proper twin bit so we modded it using a cut and shut with a genuine front end.

The keypad is nowt special, the number is stored in the engine ECU, and if you have an ECU with no code you can just send the ecu for testing and the test rig will find the code to test it which is handy and cost £20. If youy dont want a keypad, just disconnect it with engine running and it'll never...

Stats do open in a controlled manner, just watch them on the stove! thermal shock comes from dumping it through a big puddle not a little dribble of cool out of a Radiator. In the general scheme of things jay 8 degrees doesn't sound much, but its enough to screw up the emmissions and fuel economy on...

I agree with the last 2. Getting the stat open sooner will make it warm up slower (bad) and potentially make it run cooler and not as efficiently at normal speeds, if the car overheats then you need to look at the rad and check the fan cut in temps, Just get the switch out and then put it on the sto...
