hmmm, with no picture, specs or even a decent description i'd have thought they would be worth avoiding. IMHO increasing flow rate will only help with a remap of the original ecu fuel tables really, and adding fuel doesn't mean you get anything back.

I'd probably go for the cosworth injectors if anything as they are a known quantity and pretty obvious to identify.

yes, there is no reason to change the injectors unless you really seriously modify the engine, like adding a supercharger.

To get more power, you need to get more air in. Just adding more fuel wont help.

Talking of getting more air in, is there a quick way, can you fit a air ram pipe straight into the air filter?

remembering of course that the horn is in the way and you'll likely need access (at some point) to the towing eye! it's been done before (chris white) and is a pretty quick job to do.

So you could just get some ducting from the blank next to the fog lamp straight into the air intake, would it make much difference?

there isn't a passage between the back of the fog light and the airbox, the only hole is 3to4" wide and is for the aircon condensor so you can't get a lot of air through it. In theory it will result in a lower temperature charge being present at the air intake which is good, if the effects are noticable on a standard car i don't know, quick test is to compare summer performance with winter performance!

the only trouble i can see in the winter is a lot of water making its way in!

Sure you may get a little more power with a large ram intake fitted, but your standard fuel injectors and ECU will still cope fine.

A better idea is fit a nitrous kit, then you will get a real power increase.

I know I have said it before, but if you think the car is too slow, are you sure it is working 100% properly?

But I reckon the BX 16V is quite fast enough (for the road) already for its flexible body and Airfix build quality.
