A BX 16V by stealth

Post by kadams1970 »

Hi all,

Sorry I don't get in here much, but trust me, I'm still a BX 16V fan...

I have actually been agonizing about this one myself, but have decided to flag it up in the forum - and apologies if someone already has. Anyway, spotted on eBay was the mother of all bad adverts...

Click to see what I mean:

The seller has sent me pics - it's a Phase One in red with two dented doors and a mere 90K on the clock. Letting you know about it here means I stop myself from buying it myself!

Regards,
Keith

Okay not the greatest picture of all time, but they do at least confirm it's a 90K BX 16V... I really wouldn't mind it myself, but I'm hoping that someone here decides they want it more - and saves it.

Have fun!

Since nobody in the club section has shown any interest in buying this I've moved it back into the general part of the forum in case any recent members are in the market.

Given it finishes in a couple of hours, it's almost worth buying unseen - you can't lose money on it!!

That's Jay's account (ex of these parts) who's currently retailing a stainless exhaust. He'll be able to give it a good assessment and figure out if it's salvageable or not.

I have spoken to Jay and it is indeed saveable, runs a little rough and the PAS is in need of help but AFAIK it will be sorted with the parts he has.

Indeed a real bargain :)

Wouldn't bank on it - he pulled the stainless exhaust for it to go on this car (I think) but he's now decided to break it, if the new exhaust listing is to be believed. Not surprising really...

I had a message from Jay to say it is unfortunately a sh&&ter....

Has a fair bit of rot and signs of bodged accident repairs, hence the stainless pipe is back on the 'bay.

It's wearing the wrong bumper as well... odd.
