16v downpipe

Post by djoptix »

Long shot. Anyone got one to sell? Would settle for an inferior one, prefer the full length split obviously...

Good heavens, haven't heard from you for a while! How is the supercharged one?

I will consider that offer for the downpipe, thanks. A bit more than I wanted to spend but possibly worth it. Is it off the car? Is the top of the split still intact?

Yes perfect, I have 2 actually. They are both late ones but one has had the Cat removed and a section professionally welded in as a bypass. The other still has the Cat in. They both have Lambda bosses as well

Let me know which you'd prefer.

I'm considering selling my BX just don't seem to be interested in it anymore, but i'm not giving it away. See my other posts

I've always found that the removal of the resonator is a nice modifcation to the standard exhaust system, it gives it a nice noise without being intrusive.

Thanks Luke, please let me know. I can live with a short split I think, depending on how much power it drops at the bottom end, but it's for the track car so at least there will be less mass to get moving!...

If it is for the track you probably won't notice the difference.
The longer front split is generally taken as being good for low end torque but in RR tests the shorter split has often shown to give a tiny increase at full barrel.

I saw you looking for an 8v downpipe, you probably know but they are a small diameter than the 16v.
