All speedo's I've come across tend to overread a little at high speeds, but it felt quicker than ever before!!! :D

I haven't sorted the back box yet, I was going to get one at a good price last time I was down but end of the month no money :( as usual!

Pinion Valve Rob? Is that the steering?

I know mine will fail on the steering, the gaiters are worn and theres a strange bump through the steering in reverse!

Not till April though!

steve, the bump in reverse is prolly your brake pads moving matey! practically all of them that arnt on genuine cit pads do it!! i greased mine up with copper slip and it stopped the noise for a while!
the gaiters ont he steering arnt that bad matey! my mech in roach would do them for you for a very resonable feee! (did mine for me!!!:D)
next time your down matey i will bring my gps up! mine is 6mph through out the speedo range!! at least it gives you an indication of how fast you can go indicated past speed camera's!!:D:D:D:D:D:D!

Genuine pads are not very expensive and a new set of L shaped retainers always helps.
Speedos do tend to over read and 10% is the figure usually banded around so the readings at higher speeds will of course me more erratic.

Sorry fo rnot sorting your membership out sooner Steve but my forum mailboxes were not very well organised but all is sorte dnow.

A pm to me is always a good idea if I am being slack in any way :D

Cheers
Luke

May ring citroen and have a laugh at how much they want for pads.

Brilliant guys, thanks for the info.

It sounds like all that aint too serious, which is great for me wallet :D

I had the leak looked at, the actual main pump-regulator pipe has gone round the bolt so it'll need a new pipe...

...should be in early next week hopefully.

Well, at least it's now been sorted. The mechanic had to source a new main pump-valve pipe, and the flow valve was loose which caused the original one to go.

Seems somebody tried to disconnect the flow valve at one stage and rounded / sheared the two retaining bolts off! They then only managed to successfully drill one of them out, so one is still loose in the gearbox.

Other than that, the back box has been replaced. She needss a good clean again now though!
