I had to take the football table back to the in-law's to make room in the garage and whilst I was out we had a downpour of rain, so the car got a free wash and was dried off inside the garage :D

More photos, info and list of jobs to do will follow once I get chance to start looking over the car.

Looks alright that Mike, surely a new exhuast will be on the list of jobs to do :D
I must say if ever I was in the market for a 16v again it would be a Ph1, very subtle looking!

Good luck with it.

I bought the car from Geoff Rothon in Newport. I understand that he is well known in the CCC and runs the classifieds in the Citroeneon magazine.

The car was owned by an elderly chap for 13 years from 1995 to 2008 and Geoff used to maintain the car for him. When it was going to be chopped in, Geoff bought it off him and it's sat unused for the last 2 years.

I will have to post some more detailed photos of the car, as although I appreciate the comments on the car, I would descibe it as 10 yarder - get too close and you can see the areas of tatty bodywork and other bits that require attention.

The car is booked in for an MOT next Friday. I know it will fail as the ABS light is on (rear O/S sensor is knackered) and the speedo & rev counter have stopped working but I want my mate who is the tester to give me a list of jobs to do on the car and I will then make a decision on the car.

The main problem at the moment is the cold starting. It takes 4 to 5 efforts (with a new and good starter motor) and then idles roughly for a few seconds until it clears. Have put new NKG plugs in it and that's made no difference. New leads on order but I suspect a fueling problem. I see fun and games ahead

Spent yesterday morning sorting out the drivers seat. This was the one that the car had:

And this is the one that is now fitted. The car came with spare front and rear seats, so I built up a good seat using the best bits of all 3 front seats.

I had to swap and adjust the runners which was something I'd not done before.

Whilst the seat was out, a good clean and hoover in the areas you usually can't reach, not too much crud and fluff thankfully:
